HBM3E is a memory chip that sends information to AI chips much faster than normal memory. AI chips need information to work. When the memory chip is slow the chip has to wait. That waiting is why AI sometimes takes longer to reply. HBM3E fixes that. The chip gets what it needs on time and replies come out quicker. Almost every big AI system in the world runs on HBM3E today. Normal memory chips are not built for this kind of speed. SK Hynix makes most of it right now. Samsung and Micron also produce it. AI demand keeps growing so all three are scaling up production.

A fairly young colleague of mine asked me if I ever face days where there are no new content ideas, or just a big creative block. I genuinely laughed a bit. See, if you’re good at what you do, people often think that you don't have bad days. In fact, it is the opposite. If you're obsessed with your work and keep at it day in and day out, there will guaranteed be days where your mind just switches off. You just can't avoid it. I made two points to him: 1. Realize that you're not invincible. You're not God. You're a human and you will face times where you just can’t figure out what to do, and that’s fine. This realization is what most people lack, which is why they never recover from hardships. 2. The ability to accept failure and reset yourself is the most important skill you can learn over time. During my career, I too have had rough patches where something I wrote was factually incorrect or my content planning could've been better. I'm sure there will be such days in the future as well, but accepting your mistake and eventually figuring out a way to bounce back is what matters most. Learn from your mistakes and be honest with your work. That should be the never ending cycle of life.

Actual, useful advice: PLEASE buy your Smartphone ASAP. Prices are going up every day at this point, forget every week. By the time these new launches arrive, who knows how much more you'll pay.

PSA: Jio has started deactivating SIM cards that are used only for free incoming calls, often without prior warning. If you haven't recharged your Jio SIM in the past year, it's a good idea to do so now to avoid losing your number. Some plans worth considering: the ₹189 plan (2GB/month), the ₹209 plan (1GB/day for 22 days), or the ₹11 plan (1 hour of unlimited data). Many users are reporting daily deactivations, so acting now can save you the hassle.

It is incredibly tough to build wealth in India. Not only you are taxed thrice. But, no one supports you if you lose your job. You are basically a cow, who is useful till it gives milk. All this is: IF you get a good job to begin with. Try starting a business-- the "unease of doing a business" will make you quit that business. If somehow you work through these barriers and build a corpus: then your investment options are limited. You can't invest abroad, take leverage etc. It is as if you are a criminal for even thinking about investing abroad. So you have no choice but to become a forced investor in India. Then you juggle currency depreciation, limited investment options and constant noise of "SIP karte raho" from people who would sell India. But, move their own portfolio abroad [yes, Coffee Can, you!] Is India the worst? No, not at all. There are far worse destinations. India is full of opportunities. But here your timing matters more. Example: If you picked a job in IT 30 years ago, you had it good. If you started 5 years ago, you are screwed. Same applies to investing. If you have no understanding of valuations: just buy land and gold. SIP returns (if you see on currency adjusted basis) will shock you. Don't do it. It will kill your joy.

Samsung Galaxy A57 Impressions (Long Post: after 11 days of usage) Yes, we all know the Indian pricing, & that is not good. However, since I decided to finally cover Samsungs, here we are. ✅ PROS: 1️⃣ I like the design of this phone. The Awesome Navy colorway looks nice and the camera module is textured, which feels good to touch. The slim & light form factor might appeal to some people, and the build feels premium with a flat metal frame. It is now finally IP68 (prior A series phones were IP67), and it has Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. However, I do wish that the rear panel had a matte finish, since it attracts a lot of fingerprints, making it hard to keep clean and photograph. 2️⃣ Battery life is actually well-optimised *strictly for its capacity* (5000 mAh). I am getting 7.5 hrs of SoT on normal usage on 5G, without any gaming included. I'll be sure to include some gaming soon and report on the battery life and gaming stability later on, but in isolation, it is not bad for its capacity. Charging is also fairly quick: with a 100W PD charger that I have lying around, it charges the phone to 100% in about an hour. 3️⃣ OneUI 8.5 is excellent, and easily the best part of this phone. Even though I have the midrange version of OneUI here (and not the same as the flagship S & Z series), it has been a refreshing experience coming from testing Chinese UIs like OriginOS, ColorOS and HyperOS. While I will cover OneUI 8.5 in depth in a future thread, I'm starting to like Samsung's UI design language: there are definitely a lot of inspirations from other skins, but without the incessant iOS design copying that we see on many competitors nowadays. Unlike some other skins like NothingOS & Pixel UI, it doesn't miss out on essential features either. A series' version of OneUI has improved a lot over the last year or so. I see why people rave about GoodLock, it is insanely customisable and I liked it. It does have its downsides, but so far, so great: better than OriginOS 6 but behind ColorOS 16, enters my Top 3. Now I really want to test OneUI further on a Galaxy S series or Z series further in the future. 4️⃣ The display is also good (that is if you're not affected by any PWM issues) It gets decently bright outdoors, with thin display bezels and good color calibration. I only wish it was 1.5K & had higher PWM, since the 1080p resolution feels noticeably less sharp against competitors & the PWM affects me a lot in the dark at low brightness. 5️⃣ The main camera, specifically, is good for still photos in most cases. It has the typical Samsung processing which slightly oversharpens & saturates the colors (kind of like vivo), which looks social-ready However, it does not shoot natural (if that is what you prefer) & noise can creep in at night (unless you use Night Mode) ❌ CONS (can be improved further): 1️⃣ The performance part is not good for the price of ₹56,999 in India. The Exynos 1680 in isolation is surpisingly good with thermals & efficiency: the CPU is also competent (which is closer to the SD 8s Gen3 inside the vivo V70 Elite), but the major issue is the GPU. GPU is lackluster not just with compatibility (no high FPS in BGMI), but also for its segment & even against the CPU itself. If this phone was ₹45K, then I would say that the performance is actually excellent (and the overall chip is much better than 7 Gen4), but not at ₹57K. 2️⃣ There are a few jitters at certain places in OneUI 8.5: randomly when swiping down for control centre, for example, which can be fixed. Additionally, we are in April and the phone is still on the January 2026 patch. Bummer. 3️⃣ Except for the main camera, the other camera sensors are just too average: Ultrawide is just 8 MP, selfies are average and there's no telephoto at all. Additionally, no 4K 60 FPS recording? Come on, Samsung! 4️⃣ Battery could be larger: 5000 mAh is quite mediocre in 2026, especially for large phones. 5️⃣ BIGGEST CON: the Indian pricing.
