🚨BREAKING: Cop killer found not guilty of first-degree murder in the 2024 shooting death of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller.
Guy Rivera shot Officer Diller after being asked why he had parked at a bus stop.
Rivera was a career criminal with 21 prior arrests and had previously been arrested on gun charges.
When the mixed verdict was first announced, it was an emotional moment for Diller’s family and fellow officers, especially when one juror noted that the verdict was not unanimous.
The judge ordered the juror to deliberate again, but they returned with the same not guilty verdict.
Rivera was convicted on four lesser charges, including aggravated manslaughter, attempted murder, and weapon possession.
