@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 You called them entirely laissez faire and. Now they have LF leaning policies bruh
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Addressing your second point first, yes I agree with the analysis.
First point. How have i shifted my position? i meant only to clarify my argument. if my argument was umclear at the start, im sorry. please tho, what specifically did i change?
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Analogies aren’t something I should do with certain people; it was a mixed economy

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 laissez-faire isn't socialist???????
yes, they can.
but, the system in ireland and england at the time was undeniably a capitalist one.
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 The actions of the government created it and thus they bore the responsibility, you’ve shifted your position entirely bruh, if a mf shoots someone (even if accidentally), and they get an infection, and then they chose to not help, the body did not just die on its own
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Amazing, so a socialist policy, or perhaps, a laissez faire policy, DOESN’T MAKE THE COUNTRY COMPLETELY SOCIALIST? Goddamn it’s like these terms are not utterly and universally absolute and that many people and nations hold seemingly conflicting contradictory policies???
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Firstly that still would have to be applied equally (I hope you agree Soviet Russia killed utterly millions if you’re consistent)
But also, “more” laissez faire and “absolute” laissez faire are completely separate because the British still enacted policies that contributed
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 2/2 completely separate entities, they exist and intertwine heavily. the actions of one affect the other, and an action of the gov does not make it inherently not a capitalist action.

This is ridiculous propaganda. To kill a duck with hydrogen peroxide in a pool this size, you’d have to put in such a ludicrous amount that it would never happen. The insinuation = Trump killed a duckling. Why? Bad actors want maximum division in 🇺🇸.

English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Do you think it’s possible to have a socialist program in a capitalist country?
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Social security being a literal wealth redistribution system would qualify as socialist to some,
But Trump and many non-socialist people support it
But Trump isn’t socialist
Do you not *see* what you’re saying or am I talking to a chimp on a typewriter

English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Damn so did the British pull out of Ireland entirely? Did you actually read the article? the gold standard, Bank Charter Act, Corn Law repeal, borrowing constraints, market panic, and Whig parliamentary weakness, things that are entirely all factors… and of the government
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 in your words,
"Because the British having established the systems neglected to intervene"
and in fact they repealed some of those laws in favor of laissez-faire at the height of the famine.
ehs.org.uk/article/laisse…
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
so
if a system was made
but then not used when it should've been
aka the market was allowed to run without intervention,
that's laissez-faire, no?
And no i didnt address the china point because I havemt researched the complexities of the Chinese economic reform
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 I would like to know if Trump is a socialist for prioritizing social security, cause otherwise I suppose that what I’m saying means Jack shit
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 are you telling me you still have no argument, you just keep attacking with semantics?
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 there are two kinds of people in this world
those who can extrapolate information from a given statement
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Because the British having established the systems neglected to intervene, didn’t address the China point 🤫
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 "label shit haphazardly"
ok then why do historians call the economic situation at the time largely laissez-faire?
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 *are you telling me that the term is a relative concept and that a nation can implement laissez faire policies and not adhere strictly to them as a entire policy reference*
GIF
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Do you... know what is considered laissez-faire?
The US enforced tariffs, trade restrictions, minimum wage, and so on in the 1970s and 80s, and yet laissez-faire is often used to describe what reagan implemented.
laissez-faire does not require complete negligence of markets.
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 “Capitalism was present and there was a famine therefor capitalism caused death”
“Erhm- you’re just making things up- why would I think that communism causes deaths?”
“Hi I like to have sex with turtles”
Turtle cock
English

@TheFagChecker @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 a) you literally just did the below meme
b) capitalism was present in Ireland since the 1600s, yes, capitalism was the main cause, no it is not uninfluenced by prior systems. that does not disprove my point.

English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 This is also why china in some regards is also laissez faire, but no one would call China a completely capitalistic country, or completely communistic, it’s almost like there’s a spectrum of bullshit and you can’t just label shit haphazardly
English

@bearerobadnews1 @xhjjk226724 @menarenotbad2 Also laissez faire is a misnomer being misapplied by midwit nigtards, The British state was still enforcing property rights, rent obligations, evictions, food export rights, and the landlord system. So it was not a neutral absence of government. It was selective government
