In exchange for more war he wants to: -Cut the EPA budget by half -Cut $10.7 billion for housing -Cut $8.5 billion for K-12 programs -Cancel $15 billion for clean energy -Cut $2.5 billion for clean drinking water -Eliminate $1.6 billion for youth job training -Cut $3.5 billion from the Labor Department -Eliminate $395 million for senior employment -Eliminate $775 million in food assistance grants -Eliminate the National Endowment for Democracy -Cut $5 billion from the National Institutes of Health -Eliminate the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) In all, cuts to domestic programs would account for a 10% reduction in discretionary spending.

And that is before Trump touches the oil fields. Trump has already extended it twice, once for five days, then again for ten. Behind closed doors, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey are all acting as messengers between two governments that refuse to speak directly.​ The new deadline is April 6, 8 PM Eastern Time.​ If no deal is reached by then, the Pentagon already has plans drawn up for what they are calling a "decisive strike" which may include ground troops and the seizure of Kharg Island, the terminal through which 90 percent of Iran's oil exports move.​ The world's entire energy system is one negotiation away from its worst shock in modern history. The clock runs out in 5 days.

Comp update: Kirk Cousins will sign a five-year, $172 million deal with the Raiders that in reality is a one-year, fully-guaranteed $20 million deal that also contains a club option for two years at $80M. The Falcons will pay Cousins $8.7 million this season, the Raiders another $1.3 million and Las Vegas also agreed to pay its new QB a fully-guaranteed $10 million roster bonus on the third day of the 2027 new league year. And maybe most notably, it also sets another new mark: this will be the 11th straight NFL season in which Cousins’ contract will be fully guaranteed.
