Congrats @AndyBurnhamGM and @andy4makerfield team on a brilliant result.
Makerfield is a top 20 target for Reform - on paper, it was one of the most friendly seats in the country for them.
If Nigel Farage can’t win Makerfield how can he say Reform can win a General Election?

@lambert83608575 All you're doing here is disincentivising tactical voting. If Green inclined voters think voting Labour to stop Reform will lead to this sort of response, then they're going to stop doing it. And then you'll instead attack Greens for splitting the vote!

Green supporters voted for Andy Burnham, and the Green Party did very little campaigning.
They did so to stop Reform, and to give Burnham the benefit of the doubt.
That should now be repaid.

Yesterday’s result shows that Reform can be beaten, just as the Liberal Democrats have done in local elections across the country.
But while Labour fight over the keys to No. 10, people are struggling.
We need real change, not more chaos, starting with a new deal with Europe.
