How you release people matters. The way you leave a friendship, relationship, or connection says a lot about your maturity, your healing, and your character. Endings have to be stewarded just like beginnings. Just because a season is over does not mean you have to leave in bitterness, confusion, or disorder. Sometimes people are only meant to walk with you for a certain stretch of the journey. And when that season comes to a close, it is important that you let them go with grace, wisdom, and integrity. Releasing people does not always mean there was betrayal or offense. Sometimes it simply means God is closing a chapter. As believers, we should not feel the need to burn bridges, be petty, or carry resentment. We are called to release people in love, with a clean heart and clear conscience. Even in goodbye, there should still be honor. Even in separation, there should still be peace. How you exit reveals what is in you. Make sure your departure reflects spiritual maturity, not emotional chaos. Let God be glorified not just in who you embrace, but also in who you release.
