@sloppypope That’s not what happened. George H. W. Bush didn’t "encourage" Saddam Hussein to invade Kuwait. At most, there were miscommunicated diplomatic signals, not approval. Not at all. Once Iraq invaded, the U.S. led a massive coalition to reverse it and succeeded.
