I was really lucky to sit down with the brilliant @AnnaRichardso during her work on Love, Loss and Dementia and chat through the issues she was uncovering. The stories told in that programme showed first hand why we need change.

@dr_shibley Progress is what they are but no miracle for sure. Respect regulator decision and keep researching - meantime provide a dementia trained workforce for people now!

A quick spoiler for you. These new dementia drugs are not wonder drugs. There is no extra money for them. People lobbying for them are effectively lobbying for a further cut in social care - which is already at rock bottom. They have very serious rare side-effects.

Morning from a cloudy London! Reflecting on government yesterday pledging to ramp up training on dementia for those in ASC - a crucial step, driven by our call to enable appropriate support at home for people living with dementia and their carers. Not a bad hotel view either!

Only 29% of adult social care staff have dementia training. That is not good enough. Thank you @Jenny4SuffCoast for raising dementia in the Commons today, we warmly welcome Minister @SKinnock reply, committing to ramping up dementia training for the adult social care workforce.

Good few days ahead with our horses. Sunday - Holeshot expected to have first run under rules at Uttoxeter. Monday - Flashy Boy and Ballymena Boy both entered at Stratford Wednesday - Golden Vintage runs her first race for us at Kempton.
