The #BattleoftheBirds tips off in 8, as the Timpview Thunderbirds take on the Skyhawks from Salem Hills. It's a must win for Timp.

Timpview finds its three-ball, and not a minute too soon. Two trey-bombs from Gavin and one from @brit_covey2 give a 9- point lead.

Great passing from T-birds as the 3rd quarter ends results in a beautiful 8-footer from @colson_santi. THS going into the 4th with momentum.

An ugly game so far. Only two minutes left in the first and two layups has been the difference in scoring. Nerves looking to be a factor.

Timpview comes out strong on the defensive side of the ball. This will be a dogfight.

Packed arena before Timpview vs Provo. This is pretty much a must-win for the T-birds, and you can feel the excitement in the ThunderDome.

PHS students going absolutely bonkers after a free throw and a rebound put them up 3 with over a minute left. Not sure why. Plenty of clock.

The first half ends with a defensive play by from @SethSanti to swat the last shot. Timp with a slight momentum edge going into the lockers.

Quick run started by a crazy layup from @brit_covey2 and capped by a three from @gbax35 gets erased by three trey-bombs from PHS. Game on.

Provo shooting an unreal percentage of contested threes. The Timp press is yielding enough fruit to keep this one close though.

Both teams looking a little flustered with the high-energy. Two early threes give Provo a slight edge after the first couple of minutes.

Ten minutes till tip-off! Timpview tackles cross-town rival Provo High in their first meeting. Crowd is packed and energy is high.

After a late surge from the Chargers, Timpview holds on in the final minutes for a victory, 70-65. Congrats to the Thunderbirds!!
