Tying down Ibrahima Konate to a new deal isn’t optional it’s ESSENTIAL. Yes, he’s had a poor season. But so has the entire team. Even Salah. Even VVD. That doesn’t suddenly erase quality. When Konate is on form, there are VERY few centre-backs in world football at his level. Power, pace, dominance the full package. And here’s the bigger picture… We cannot afford to lose another experienced player who understands this club inside out. With VVD not getting any younger, Konate is entering his PRIME years. He should be the one ready to step up instead of spending £80m+ to bring in an another experienced CB. He should be the next leader at the back. Letting him go now for FREE? That’s how you create problems you spend YEARS trying to fix as we are seeing at right back after Trent's departure. Secure the future. Tie him down 🖊 📃

I've been quite lenient on Florian Wirtz this season as I am certain he will live up to his price tag in the near future. But so many of these games I am left thinking: what does he do? So ineffective and when you cost £100m, you want way, way more.
