I've been harassed because someone thought I was Jewish. Sure Florida man is dumb as hell, but don't lie about what is happening in Canada because of an idiot in Florida.

I understand your perception of being a Mizrahi Jew... The Canadian perception is as follows: For the past 16 months, we have been told that we are overflowing with antisemitism. Cities are injecting millions to protect Jews. Nothing happens. As soon as there’s a sticker on a bus or a window gets broken, it’s panic. Soon they will all try to kill us. Millions for police protection, millions to fight antisemitism, millions for the IHRA definition, tens of millions to teach about the Holocaust in schools. We take these millions from other budgets: awareness campaigns against bullying in schools, against violence towards women, etc. There hasn’t been any antisemitic crime in Canada, but there have been rapes, kidnappings, harassment... But it's so much less important! And then finally, an antisemitic crime: a Jew shoots two dark-skinned Jews.

What most people don't get about the incident in Miami where a Jewish man shot two other Israelis whom he thought were Palestinians is the (inter-Jewish) racism: The shooter is an Ashkenazi. A white European Jew. His victims are Arab Jews. To him, brown Jews look like Arabs. But that's only because they are. If there ever was a more perfect demonstration of the fake and made-up idea of a Jewish ethnicity, or nation, I never heard about it. His victims, by the way, would rather he shot them again than admit they're Arabs. Zionist brainwashing is the strongest propaganda material invented by mankind - And so Arab Jews would rather die than face their Arabness, and white Jews would rather kill Arab Jews than acknowledge the humanity of Arabs

I try and stay out of politics, but this level of ignorance makes my head hurt. The US cannot harvest enough potash to sustain their agriculture. 90% of US agriculture uses Canadian potash. You either buy from Canada, buy from Putin, pay 25% more for your groceries, or lose your agriculture. Either way, you lose with this stupid trade war. And that is only one key resource. The list goes on.

Had some plumbers over that were recommended by the building management and two pieces of jewelry that were there beforehand went missing. Was planning on programming with friends (been a long time), but life handed me a new side quest. Am Canadian, can confirm. The embarrassment is top down. From our leaders, to their cabinets, to their policies, right down to the tweets. One giant embarrassment after another, like our GDP per capita, or our housing prices.
