How many more Illinois families must pay the price for Governor Pritzker’s failures before accountability finally matters?
I’ve been writing and speaking about preventable tragedies and lifelong trauma since J. B. Pritzker disrespected Katie.
It brings me no satisfaction, only heartache, that more families have suffered because of self-serving political policies. No family should be collateral damage in someone else’s political game. We the people of Illinois are worth more than slogans, excuses, and manufactured outrage.
Illinois continues to double and triple down on reckless sanctuary city and state policies with no rational plan to know who is in our communities, why they are here, or whether they pose a danger to others.
That is not compassion. That is negligence disguised as virtue.
This is not leadership. This is governing like a king through arrogance, deflection, and an absence of humility in service to the very people elected officials are sworn to protect.
Who is the next victim, Governor Pritzker, that you will ignore and then blame on Donald Trump?
Real leadership does not mean endlessly blaming others for your own failures. It does not mean hiding behind ideology while families bury their children. It does not mean rewarding loyalty to party over duty to the public.
Leadership means wisdom, humility, accountability, and putting the safety of citizens and legal residents first.
How many tragedies must happen before enough is enough? How many warnings must be ignored? How many names must be added to the list of preventable loss and lifelong trauma?
We, Illinois voters, need to look deeper than the slogans, headlines, and partisan talking points.
We should not trust Illinois or national media to tell us the full truth. We need to think critically, seek facts for ourselves, and do our own homework before we vote.
We should not reward policies that create victims every day while those responsible deny, deflect, deceive, and demand more power.
For the good of Illinois, Governor Pritzker, along with the political allies you have funded, have the decency to step aside.
@govpritzker, say her name: Katie.
