Seeing Stones tell Foden to keep his 'head up' during the sub makes me wonder what’s actually happening. I never bought the mental excuse before but im seriously concerned now

This side of City FT is shite & full of toxicity. Toxic people. You can't build a real community anymore. It used to be a great place, full of good people who supported this club with their whole heart. These days, it’s just people farming likes and impressions by dragging our own players. Sad. Count me out.

When people struggle to “profile” Phil Foden, it’s because he doesn’t neatly fit into any modern positional archetype. He’s not a pure winger, not a classic 10, not a controller, and not a volume creator. He’s a phase-sensitive attacker whose output is heavily tied to structure, rhythm, and role clarity. That’s where the inconsistency you’re seeing comes from. In 23/24 he was the primary final-third reference. More touches between the lines, more freedom to arrive in the box, more responsibility in decisive moments. That version of Foden looked like a superstar because the system finally bent toward him. Without that, he’s just Foden.

I always used to call Phil Foden overrated, how he is weird to profile. I stopped calling him that after he almost single handedly led Manchester City to a title in 23/24. But now, I am starting to think maybe he just isn't that good. Maybe 23/24 was just a complete anomaly, and the previous seasons were more his level, a normality. 2 seasons of being lacklustre now. His only truly "elite" seasons were 20/21, and 23/24. The rest? Average, never saw the hype.

That Girona version of Savinho was the closest thing to Yamal. I’m not sure what’s happened since. But I’m a big believer in time. Players go through phases. We’ll see that version of him again next season.

If we’re to replace Bernardo Silva then none of — Tonali — Anderson — Wharton come close to his profile not even half of it We already have the solution in Rico Lewis..! Play him in his natural position, and you unlock the closest version of Bernardo within the squad.

I took 4 minutes from Rodri's 50-minute interview (auto-dubbed in English). First, I'm sorry for the way I reacted about him. Second, the media is a very bad thing. They really picked certain lines and created a false narrative.

By this time last season, Xabi Alonso was a hot commodity everyone wanted. A few months after joining Real Madrid, that reputation disappeared. The same thing happened to Thiago Motta, who moved to Juventus. If I were Fabregas, I would stay at Como as long as possible. Big teams aren't nice to young coaches who are still learning their new trade. Big teams don't do projects and processes. You either win or walk.

✍️ Cesc Fabregas is obviously a perfect manager for the profile of our squad. But it took him three seasons to build this Como side. They weren't this good last season. The thing is that it's easy to admire a successful project, but many clubs and fans lack the required patience to see it through. That's why I think it will be difficult to convince him until everything settles down and shows a clear direction at Chelsea. So, for now, it's just a pipe dream. He is unlikely to accept Chelsea at this crisis point.
