@Hashshaashin If you need to sound realistic better to do something to hide that YOU ARE BASED IN GERMANY 😁 did you hear the noises in your dreams at 4am?
X location doesn’t lie
I was in Sri Lanka for 5 days, and I’m absolutely mind-blown 🤯 at:
👩🏻 How safe it feels.
MUCH safer than my own country and big European cities. You can wear anything and nobody stares.
🏨 The hospitality.
I thought Thailand and India have warmest hospitality and then I came here.
Anyone from your cab driver to hotel staff to restaurant servers - people are genuinely warm.
It’s like they *want* you here. They want you to experience the best in their country.
🍤 Food.
Food is affordable, but also the ingredients are so fresh!
Cafes try to locally source as many ingredients as possible. I didn’t come accorss unnecessary fried or unhealthy dishes.
They take pride in their tropical yield and use them all. Like I had prawn in passionfruit gravy last night!
___
I hope to come again later this year because 5 days don’t feel like enough :)
“While many countries face petrol queues, food shortages, and economic challenges, we have managed to eliminate petrol queues in the country. We have also ensured that essential food items are available for the upcoming festive season through proper management,” Deputy Minister Kaushalya Ariyaratne said, highlighting the government’s measures to stabilise the country while urging public support to conseve energy.
@AusHCSriLanka Sri Lankans are surprised Australia produces lentils 😁
SL imports 80% of our dhal from AUSTRALIA!
Canada is the world’s largest producer followed by India and Australia.
@chamith888@AusHCSriLanka Shows how little Sri Lankans know outside of our country. Australia is a top producer of most of the world’s vegetables, grains, meat and dairy!
BYD hits 10,000 vehicles sold in Sri Lanka. While Tesla and others were busy talking about entering emerging markets, BYD quietly built the distribution network and captured the mindshare. Sometimes the winner isn't the loudest one in the room…
