The volatility in Bitcoin is not due to spot buying and selling of Bitcoin - stop this narritive - it is because of the extreme leverage markets gambling on the direction on unregulated crypto exchanges worldwide. Mostly on @binance global exchange.
The price is manipulated to flush these leveraged positions long and short. The extreme dives and peaks are caused by liquidation laddering.
When a long position is liquidated it forces a market sell on the exchange which causes deeper positions to liquidate and this continues to ladder causing the extreme moves. The same is true for shorts which trigger market buys and cause “squeezes” or liquidation ladders to the upside.
Theoretically the only way to stop this extreme volatility is to regulate away the high leverage markets, but because they are global and in jurisdictions outside regulatory reach it is a challenge.
@binance controls 90% of this market. They make extreme profits but cause this extreme volatility to stimulate their leverage market.
Spot buying and selling happens around this volatility and barely influences it.

This premium to treasury holdings (Net asset value) will make $MSTR the strongest financial company on the planet within the next decade, and likely hold that position for the rest of our lives. I will say it again, this is the BIGGEST financial move in the HISTORY of finance. Plan accordingly. Here’s some silly shit to watch out for: 1. High school level short reports about idiotic structured hedges (long Bitcoin, short $MSTR) - just go long you imbeciles! 2. Manipulation from hedge funds that are stuck in their trades. (Liquidity dumping) - there will be buying opportunities along the way. Remember, any market cap below the #1 market cap is technically a bargain… ZOOM OUT 3. “Premium trading” for #Bitcoin - Everyone is on the same team here. WE’RE all directionally going in the same way. Be cordial, everyone in and related to #Bitcoin is good for the entire ecosystem. 3.A: I am NOT recommending selling Bitcoin for MSTR, nor am I recommending a 100% MSTR allocation. Be smart, don’t get over leveraged and get your #Bitcoin off exchanges. 4. @dotkrueger spewing some bullshit about Power Laws and “Halving doesn’t matter” for engagement stats 5. $GBTC “Selling off / Transferring” Bitcoin to the other ETF’s - this will cease between April - July. 6.
