@RichardEGrant Your love shines on and through all these beautiful words. 18 years ago today I had a husband, but in 9 days me and our 13yr old lost him suddenly, aged 45. We still look at the stars and smile as you did there. May she twinkle down on you with Christmas blessings and onward.

Earlier this morning Janey passed away in her sleep. Her family were with her. The love and support from all her friends and fans during this cancer journey brought her enormous joy. It has also been a huge comfort to us, her family and close friends, thank you.

How sad, Janey @JaneyGodley has ‘shut the door’. Bless her and her family, and damn ovarian cancer- I lost a sister to it at only 47. Janey did loads to raise awareness but we need so much more research investment in this one.

@MartinSLewis Family carers for a loved one with illness/disability/ care needs SAVE us as a society billions-about the cost of another NHS! Many have to give up or reduce their working hours to provide this care; thank goodness some apply for, and get, UC as not all get a Carers Allowance.

To those saying comments like "oh good more money for those who contribute nothing" - check ur facts!
40% of UC claimants are the working poor others are carers, have disabilities or illness, & some who don't have work, want it. A little more compassion & less judgement wouldn't hurt.

Just spotted.... this is a good change for benefits recipients, deductions can be soul-destroying. #budget "Caps deductions made through Universal Credit at 15% of the standard allowance. Before this Budget, it was 25%... approximately 1.2 million households will keep more of their Universal Credit payment each month, with households expected to be better off by an average of over £420 a year"
