@bollewrites I can't write not in order! I am amazed my people who can write out of order and still pull off strong character arcs.

I was at the park with my son, writing while he played. Another mom was reading nearby and asked me what I was writing. When I told her about my book she said, "Oh my God! I've never seen a book growing in the wild before." 😄

@moniza_hossain This year fanfiction won a Pultzer (James, Huckleberry Finn fanfic) and a Nebula ("Why Don’t We Just Kill the Kid in the Omelas Hole," "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" fanfic).

It’s always so startling to encounter people in the wild who genuinely, with all sincerity, look down on fanfiction, not realising AO3 is founded by a New York Times bestselling author and that many published authors not only got their start in fanfics, but continue to write it

Anyone have tips for writing novellas? I can write novels and short stories, and I read a lot of novellas, yet I can't hit that word count. #WritingCommunity
