Welp, it finally happened: I lost my undefeated Wordle streak. Until today, I’d skipped a day or two but never actually lost. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Now I don’t have to stress on the mornings I get to a fifth guess!

@lxeagle17 You are embarrassing yourself. Kat Abughazaleh was on the front lines for weeks protesting ICE at a detention center, which is very much the antithesis of being Very Online. (Also, FWIW, she declared her candidacy before Jan Schakowsky retired, unlike Daniel Biss.)

Color me shocked that the Very Online Candidate with no experience and no real campaign strategy beyond "get likes on the internet" ended up losing a Democratic primary to the incumbent mayor of Evanston, Illinois.

savannah forking ruled at #survivor. dominant social force pre-merge, then clawed her way back through savvy social gameplay + clutch immunity wins at the merge. She was the loyal glue for her underdog alliance, earning the respect of allies + opponents both. one of my favorite new era characters, had real villain energy, loved her facial expressions at tribal and how much joy she took in the suffering of her enemies, loved how she just flat-out said she didn't think her "why" mattered to why she should win survivor. absolutely earned the win + shot on 50. @LeighGiangreco Not defending the CTA’s poor overall performance, especially during rush hours. But I have definitely waited much longer than that for nighttime trains in New York, Berlin, and Paris.

Someone is going to inevitably respond that “12 minutes isn’t that bad.” I’m sorry, but do you think that’s acceptable for a major city? I’ve never waited more than 4 minutes for the Paris metro, no matter what time of day or night.

12 minute wait for a red line train and I still have to make another transfer this morning on my commute. You should not have to build in another THIRTY minutes into your commute in order to be on time while taking the CTA

@SurvivorSpclsts I think Shauhin’s edit is pretty good. Think about how he helped drive the David blindside — we got a great confessional plus a flashback segment (!) about how he spent days subtly laying the groundwork for that move.

So if Shauhin really is in position to beat Joe at final 3, I’m so mad at the editors for not letting us see that. He’s being shown as wrong. This is a great listen.

For what it's worth, I haven't posted any #Survivor 50 cast list anywhere. I don't even know the full cast at this point. And when I do, I won't be posting any names until the cast is in Fiji and the post will be on Inside Survivor as normal. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
