Year 10 had a fantastic experience with USW this week! They had the chance to practise CPR, take blood pressure readings, and try suturing, among other activities. A big thank you to Mr Cullen and Luke for organising such a great opportunity! @1Penydre

Mr Price has been teaching year 8 how to make salt crystals. Here we can see them reacting copper oxide and sulfuric acid. Then filtering the excess ready to evaporate the solution. Da iawn. @1Penydre

Year 8 have been learning about cells. They have recently used the microscopes and so now are making model plant and animal cells from salt dough. Another successful art/science collaboration. @1Penydre @PYD_ARTofficial

Mr Evans has been teaching KS3 how to use a microscope. So far they’ve looked at their own cheek cells. Next it’s on to plant cells. Da iawn pawb. @1Penydre
