As i see polar vortex condition current and forecast projections and général weather circulation related for N H continent , that AO followed shortly by NAO will indeed tank towards negative values ,and prolonged stronger is possible as we think at this moment.

Risk of colder frosty and some parts of west europe also risk for wintry showers or just snow signals is growing stronger.

"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." First pulse of vertical energy transfer (WAFz) did not succeed but GFS is predicting the second pulse will make #PolarVortex weaker than normal to end the month as seen in polar cap geopotential heights. Plot now extends to 1 mb!

Charts from main weathermodels starting to project very strong signals towards wintry weather for west and nord and parts of Europe continent. Colder with also risk of snow and freeze weather. UK Ireland and Netherlands Belgium included.

Growing confidence by me , this just after only 1 day digging into weathermodels and pv Outlook and wafz pulses forecast and expectations , also the build up of real cold pool into Siberia. And some warmings from PCH into mid stratosphere. This will be play out after 20th dec.

Disruptions of Polar vortex in the make and frequent or major one , i just feel it. me have to look into how strong la Nina is now , or some insider who can tell me that? I did not have looked into that yet. And QBO ?

Last winter from start it was clear that winter was lost for all parts of NH continent. Due to spin up from pv at insanity strong levels. This year , we have at least a good decent chance west europe, and als east USA. Hang on.
