When discussing some of the current challenges within the Bonk ecosystem, there’s one example that stands out: $GIB.
$GIB was quite different from most other Bonk-launched coins = an art-driven project.
While it carried a playful “Fwog” vibe that some might find polarizing, many in the Bonk community genuinely connected with it, especially due to the standout quality of the artwork.
However, one key issue reflects a broader short-term challenge (as mentioned in my previous tweet):
It received zero public support ; no tweets from @SolportTom or any Bonk team members (except @iamkadense and cheers to him).
Now, to be clear ; that’s not inherently wrong.
Not every coin needs to be tweeted about, and projects should be able to succeed independently of constant promotion.
-> But in the current environment, absence of support doesn't just mean zero impact = it often has a negative impact.
The message becomes:
"If the main figures aren’t engaging, maybe this coin isn’t worth attention."
Despite this, $GIB has stayed consistent: 70+ days of art posted regularly and now preparing for a high-quality NFT mint, directly on the @MagicEden Launchpad.
It’ll be interesting to see whether it finally gets some well-deserved recognition from the ecosystem’s leaders.
Regardless, massive respect to $GIB holders — they’ve stayed strong, and they deserve the win that’s coming.
