However, as police investigated and Kristil began uncovering the truth, Daniel realized his digital tracks could expose him and plotted her demise to silence her. ​ ​On a weekday morning, after Kristil dropped two of their children off at school, Daniel lay in wait and ambushed her in the family garage, striking her with a blunt object and fatally wounding her. ​Daniel then executed an intricate plan to manufacture an alibi: ​Tampering with Security: He covered the doorbell camera with tape and disabled the home security system. ​Faking Texts: He used Kristil's phone to send misleading texts to her brother and a detective, falsely claiming she was having an affair. ​Delayed Alibi: He left for his state government job 30 minutes late and disabled his car's dash camera. While driving, his phone received automated, staged texts from Kristil’s phone to make it look like she was still alive. ​Around noon, after sending staged, unanswered messages to his wife, Daniel requested a police welfare check. Officers arrived and discovered Kristil's body in the garage. ​The Investigation and Conviction ​Investigators quickly cleared the ex-boyfriend, who was an eight-hour drive away in Utah. When told the ex-boyfriend had an airtight alibi, Daniel tried to shift blame, telling detectives, "It’s always the husband." ​Digital forensics ultimately proved Daniel's guilt: ​The fake email account was traced to a password-protected computer network at Daniel's workplace. ​The burner phones used for the threats were bought with a gift card registered in his name. ​Location data showed a burner phone traveling in tandem with Daniel’s personal phone. ​Following a multi-week trial, a jury convicted Daniel Krug of first-degree murder, harassment, and criminal impersonation. The judge sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole, officially designating the crimes as acts of domestic violence.

Road rage to the extreme! This Uber driver was trying to take his passengers to their destination when another car cuts in front of him and the driver of that car gets out of the car threatening the Uber driver. He approached the door trying to open it yelling for the Uber driver to get out of his car. The Uber driver and his passengers quickly flee by backing up and turning around but the raging man does not give up and begins to chase them through the neighborhood causing them to run red lights to get away. The female passengers quickly get on the phone with the police and help guide the officers to their location. The police were able to catch the guy as he did try to run once he saw police were involved. Based on the streets and landmarks I believe this is in the Northport (East Northport), Long Island, New York area. Good teamwork and quick thinking helped them escape what could have been a very dangerous situation.
