The first time I experienced the politics of football was with the Indiana North/South All-Star game. 2007-2008 I led the state in total yards was second in the nation in total yards and didn’t get an invite to that game. I didn’t care back then at all but my coaches were infuriated. It never really hit me until my journey came to an end and now work with some kids who are overly excited about the invite and some who are overly upset about not getting invited. My journey lasted longer than every single person who went to that game my senior year. Don’t get too caught up in the outside noise just keep grinding 🙇🏾‍♂️📈
