@MartienBall The reason is simple. Messi plays for the team, so his team plays for him. Ronaldo plays for himself, so his team hates him.

@Makarand_S Interesting read. But let's not forget that the written text of Mahabharata is a recording of what Vaishampayana narrated to Janamejaya, Arjuna's descendant. So more likely than not his account would have exaggerated Arjuna's feats while downplaying those of Karna's.
English

Karna or Arjun - who was the bigger hero? This question pops up every now and then and triggers highly partisan views. I think Arjun was better and in this post I explain why I think that.

@michaelttfw One is a perfectly weighted pass that disrupts the entire backline and puts the striker on a 1v1. The other is knocking the ball to space for the winger to chase.
You claim the latter is better and then ask why your favorite gets bad rep?
English

One through ball against a tiring, second-string Iceland side in a friendly and we’ve got people asking ‘how does he do it!?’
Incredible player. One of the greatest of all-time, no doubt. But his PR and reaction to anything he does is something else.
SCOOP.@AcademyScoop
Sneaky feeling he might go back to back. How is he still performing like this?
English

@realdevdp_ Kenin who lost in the fourth round at the US Open which happened before RG in 2020 was in the form of her life 🤡
Well Kostyuk is also in the form of her life currently...
English

@_ShashankR Kenin was in the best form of her life and seeded #4... Azarenka 19th seed, well past her prime, never even made the final at RG. Have some shame man...
English

@realdevdp_ No way you're using a one slam wonder Kenin as some kind of an achievement 🤣
You see it's that easy to discredit someone's achivements
English

@_ShashankR No way you’re using a washed Azarenka as some kind of an achievement 🤣
English

@realdevdp_ Doesn't change the fact that she faced just one more top 10 player in her first 4 tournaments compared to Mirra who has also defeated multi time slam winners in Azarenka and Sabalenka.
English

@_ShashankR She also beat Halep the number one seed and Kenin the 4 seed who had just won a slam and made back to back slam finals 😉
English

@realdevdp_ My bad, that's still 3 in 4 years compared to 2 in 4 for Andreeva. Not to mention she got to play two qualifiers in QF and SF in her first run to the finals.
English

@_ShashankR Next time get your facts right 🤣 Iga played 1 in her first RG in 2019, 2 in her second… that’s already 3 in just two years 🤡
English

@vanshv2k I don't think Zverev himself believes as he said on @NothingMajorPod. It was a missed opportunity to be World no.1 though, as he was two wins away at Halle later.
English

The way Nadal saved SEVEN set points to win that set & Zverev double faulted THREE times in a game when serving for the second set. Somehow, people still believe Zverev was going to win that match had he not gotten injured…even tho he had to win 3 more sets against the Clay 🐐🤦♂️
Bastien Fachan@BastienFachan
Zverev now 21-1 in his last 22 tiebreaks at Roland-Garros
English

@RishiJoeSanu I wasn't talking about other Spanish clubs as I'm well aware La Liga doesn't prevent investments. The big two choose to be run by the socis and yet have the spending power due to their large global fanbases which German clubs lack.
English

@_ShashankR The difference is that La Liga doesn't have a 50+1 rule that by fiat prevents investments into their clubs.
This is why Girona is Man City's sister club.

@tomturner123 @michaelttfw United was the best job that Mourinho could take at the time.
And guess what Ancelotti did when the Madrid job did come up?
Yeah, Klopp might have genuinely wanted to build a project at Liverpool, but the others would have done exactly what Pep did if they were in his position.
English

@_ShashankR @michaelttfw They weren’t.
Jose was a PL champion when he was sacked, had a strong reputation
It was a huge surprise when Ancelotti went to Everton because a bigger job would come up, like erm Real Madrid…
Klopp had been approached by Bayern
Emery could have gone to a club to win trophies
English

If United appointed Pep instead of Mourinho in 2016, Shaw would have been long gone by 2018.
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano
🚨 Pep Guardiola: “Luke Shaw is one of my favorite players”. @BeanymanSports 🎥
English

@dankchikidang @AshwinRaman_ Final matchday of the Scottish Premiership.
English

@tomturner123 @michaelttfw Because those were the best offers they had at the time.
Mourinho had been sacked by Chelsea, Ancelotti by Napoli, Klopp by Dortmund. Emery was the only one in a job, and he too recognized that the resources of Villa were much greater than Villarreal.
English

@_ShashankR @michaelttfw Some do. Ancelotti to Everton, Klopp to Liverpool, Emery to Villa, even Mourinho to United off the top of my head. All could have taken an easier route
English

@michaelttfw @tomturner123 And other managers too would have done the same if they were as good as Pep to receive the same offers.
And Mourinho turning down Madrid in the pasta might be down to burnt bridges, the same way Pep has said he would never manage Barca again.
English

@_ShashankR @tomturner123 Don’t blame Pep for it, it’s just a fact. He wouldn’t go near a club that wasn’t already in a good place with a huge budget. Thats why other managers have the edge in any all-time debate for me.
Believe Mourinho has turned down Madrid at least a couple of times since leaving.
English

@michaelttfw @tomturner123 No manager in the world chases challenges lmao, they just choose the best option in front of them and for Pep that's always been the best clubs in the world.
Look at Mourinho ditching Benfica for Madrid, why is he turning down the challenge to win something with Benfica?
English

@tomturner123 Agree he wouldn’t have come but I’d say it’s more down to the state United were in and the structure above him.
It would have been a big challenge… something that he’s seemed to turn dow throughout his career.
English

@DrAashish_ So then, we can dock the number of top 5 leagues won by him?
English

Here's why it took SAF 12 years to win UCL
-Ban on English teams in Europe btwn 1985-1990(thanks to our friends from Liverpool)
-Only League winners allowed pre 1997 (No concept of top 4)
-Foreign players limit.
-PL not as strong as it is today( Not even top 5 of UEFA coef.)
Jacky@MCFC_Jacky
Alex Ferguson won just 2 in 30 years btw and it took him 12 years in to win his first.
English

@dankchikidang Thanks for sharing. I agree that this is the best proposal for Kannadigas and Karnataka.
English

Karnataka remains cheated however. Will MP’s from karanraka speak up about this or won’t they?
Sumanth Raman@sumanthraman
So the BJP Govt setting the #Delimitation matter to rest by committing to a uniform 50% hike in LS seats in Parliament today. Takes the sting out of the "Tamil Nadu is being cheated" campaign.
English

@dankchikidang But won't maintaining status quo just prolong this injustice? What would you propose?
