Trojans battled wind and a lot of rain and still posted a lot of strong performances. Highlighted by Julia Score setting a new school record in the 800. Running a 2:13.55! Congrats on another record!

Firecracker 5K at Marengo is Friday, to support the Boys & GirlsClub of Marengo! Registrations are open the day of the race, but you can beat the $5 increase if you register today. Almost 700 registrations so far, and you can still join the atmosphere of a large 5K as part of your Independence Day celebrations!

Bib pickup is happening now, for the 2024 Dash 4 Shelter. This race is raising funds for @WheelerMissionB (Wheeler Mission—Bloomington), to help them do the important work they do for many people and families in our community. We have teams set up for a couple of turkey trots this year. We have a crew down at Bedford for the Becky's Place Run for Hope and we have one in Bloomington for the B-Town Turkey Trot. Packet pickup for the one in Bedford is today, starting at noon. Already looking at over a couple hundred people registered there. So if you're in the Bedford area and want to join there, the link to register is on our website. Packet pickup for the B-Town Turkey Trot was this morning from 9:00 to 11:00, and a second round happening from 4:00 to 6:00. You can still register online, but you better hurry. Over 500 have already picked up bibs and we are approaching 1,000 registrations... With 1200 bibs on hand, this one looks like we might be cutting it close on those. With the conclusion of the XC season, we are turning our attention to some scheduling for the 2025 Spring Track and Field season, and prepping for some other events between now and then. If you have submitted a schedule request for the spring, hang tight. We are building that schedule now and will be in touch within the next week or two to confirm dates. If you had us cover stuff for you last spring but have not submitted those yet, please get those requests in as soon as possible. Given the way things have gone the past couple of seasons, it is likely that we will have a lot of dates that will fill up. We will try to honor our existing and longstanding relationships first. 5 p.m. today is the cut off to guarantee seeded positions/heats for Westfield's Last Lap 1600/3200 event on Saturday. Entries will be pulled after 5 p.m. and the heat assignments and start list will be posted shortly thereafter.
