Troops arrest suspects linked to ‘silent killings’ in Plateau By: Zagazola Makama Troops of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP) have arrested suspected criminals linked to a series of “silent killings” in parts of Plateau State. Security sources said the arrests followed intensified intelligence-driven operations and stop-and-search exercises across identified flashpoints within Jos metropolis and adjoining communities. The sources disclosed that the suspects were believed to be involved in covert attacks and targeted killings carried out in isolated areas, often under the cover of darkness. It was gathered that the operations led to the interception of the suspects at strategic locations, with security operatives also recovering weapons and other incriminating items. The arrests come amid rising concerns over sporadic killings and the discovery of bodies in secluded areas, which had heightened tension among residents. Authorities said the suspects are currently in custody and undergoing interrogation to unravel possible networks and accomplices. The command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining aggressive operations to dismantle criminal elements and restore lasting peace across Plateau. Residents were urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and credible information.

The Chief Imam of Jos, Imam Ghazali Isma'il Adam, led the funeral prayers and burial of four Muslims who were k!lled in the recent crisis that erupted in Jos. He urged Muslims to remain law-abiding and avoid any actions that could trigger further violence between Muslim and Christian communities. @Bliss_beebaah

🗣️ Politically, I’m afraid of this woman 😭 The way she keeps quiet, you’ll think nothing is happening next thing, boom! checkmate. Her silence is really dangerous Her silence is not ordinary silence o… it’s “calculating in HD.” If you think she’s sleeping, she’s actually three steps ahead, waiting for you to make one mistake. At this point, decoding her moves should be a inspected 🤭🎓 Abeg, I’m just here praying: ADC, please… deny her the ticket before we all start doing “HOW?” 🥲 Because if she gets it, na we go explain tire. APC shine eyes well well , Ku Bari ayi Primaries faaa. Hayya

A CHRISTIAN BOKO HARAM MEMBER JOHN ADO AND HIS CO BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS CAPTURED IN ADAMAWA STATE. On 29th March 2026. Three Boko Haram terrorists, including John Ado, were captured by the military in Balda, Gombi LGA, Adamawa State on March 29, 2026. They were part of the group that attacked Southern Borno and claimed to be collectors of booty who didn't use weapons. Their leaders killed and decapitated soldiers and planned to attack Mubi military barracks, steal explosives, and destroy the Benue River bridge in Yola, Terrorism knows no tribe or religion. We must reject d tendency to shield terrorists simply because they share our ethnic or religious affiliations. Let's stop unfairly stigmatizing Muslims and instead unite in our efforts to combat terrorism and hold all sponsors accountable, regardless of background. Idan kunne yaji.... Buhari who overthrew a democratically elected govt didn’t kill opposition and democracy from 2015-2019 but ex NADECO activist does not want any opposition in the country. He wants to go unopposed in 2027. Tinubu will eventually burn down this country if he continues this way.

BBC Hausa is the only media outlet that reported about this abduction, so far. This has become so normalised that it only shock us for few seconds, because it happens everyday and there's no guarantee it won't happen again tomorrow. Nigerian are forced to go to bed with this cruelty. We are on our own in this country. May Nigeria not happen to us🙏

🇳🇬 JUST IN - Terrorists suspected to be Fulani bandits carried out a morning raid on Aso community in Karu LGA of Nasarawa State near Abuja, burning houses and vehicles and forcing residents to flee. The attack occurred around the Maraba/Masaka area near a primary school, with videos showing smoke from burning structures, fleeing and armed men moving through the area. Accounts indicate the incident followed a clash the previous day in which a Fulani herder was allegedly killed during a dispute over grazing. Residents apprehended at least one suspect. As of midday March 25, 2026, no confirmed casualties have been reported and no official security response has been issued.

Oil subsidy removed, power subsidy removed. No new teaching hospital built, now new university built, all federal roads are in a state of disrepair, insecurity continues to rise, agriculture sector dying due to imports, federal contractors havent been paid since 2024. Yet Tinubu is asking to borrow another 6 billion dollars. Are we jinxed or under a spell?

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE Why President Tinubu addressed the victims of the Plateau attacks at the airport President Tinubu's itinerary for Thursday included two main engagements: receiving the Chadian President, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, and proceeding to Iperu, Ogun State. After Governor Caleb Mutfwang's briefing, President Tinubu suspended the trip to Ogun. Overnight, the Presidential Villa made arrangements for the visit to Jos, with presidential assets quickly deployed. However, the President could not postpone the scheduled visit by the Chadian leader. The President of Chad was at the Presidential Villa for a very important bilateral meeting focused on strengthening security collaboration between the two countries. The meeting ran longer than expected, affecting President Tinubu’s scheduled departure for Jos. Upon arrival in Jos, the visit encountered some logistical challenges. While the road distance from the airport to Jos township is approximately 40 minutes, the runway does not support night flights due to the absence of navigational aids. The constraints made it unfeasible to drive into town, meet victims for on-the-spot assessment and return to the airport before dusk. Consequently, state and federal officials decided to bring representatives of the affected community to a hall adjoining the airport so the President could meet with them promptly while adhering to flight restrictions. Among the people in the hall were the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Army Staff and the Inspector General of Police, who had visited Rukuba, the epicentre of the conflict. President Tinubu deployed the high-level team to Rukuba, including the Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement, to undertake critical groundwork on security and community engagement, with a view to stabilising the area before his arrival. Beyond expressing his condolences to the victims, President Tinubu’s objective was to engage with critical stakeholders in Plateau State on ending the recurring, decades-old conflict that has resulted in needless loss of lives and property. President Tinubu’s visit to Jos was not merely symbolic. It was a strategic, high-level engagement aimed at bringing all stakeholders together to address the root causes of conflict and insecurity in the state. He interacted with the victims, consoled them, and listened to them. He also listened to local leaders and assured them that the federal government would deliver justice and end the cycle of violence. He promised the deployment of 5000 AI-enabled cameras to monitor the city and enhance the identification and arrest of troublemakers. Furthermore, the President invited the community leaders to Abuja for further talks on finding a lasting solution to the recurring violence in the state. The meeting, televised live, was solemn and reassuring, boosting residents' confidence. President Tinubu achieved the purpose of his visit, despite the naysayers' attempts to ridicule it. He dropped an unmistakable message: sustainable peace must be built with the people, not imposed on them. Bayo Onanuga Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy) April 3, 2026
