Youngins: i'm 36. this is the 1st time I've ever felt like "ok, my body isn't 21 anymore."
I'm beyond happy I got fit before I got into my 40s.
I'm still an animal. Super strong. Sprint. Jump. Skateboard. etc.
But for the 1st time: I feel recovery isn't as fast, small strains last longer + lead to proper injuries more.
The secret, for me, has been being more sensitive to pain. Small tweaks, younger me I'd tough guy it out.
Going from fat to fit in your late 40s/50s...seems hard for this reason.
Now, I call the workout much easier. Normally, each week I try to increase weight + effort. When that happens, I give multiple sessions to get back to where I was.
That said: I still feel like an athlete! I think I can kill and eat + outrun most people in a room.
...so long as I don't get hurt :)
But make sure you get in the proper habits when you're young so into your 40s and 50s, you're just following the plan!!!

@realEstateTrent I encountered these in Singapore. No lines anywhere.

I flew out of Newark Airport this morning and experienced something that is obviously going to become standard everywhere within the next few years.
There was no TSA agent checking IDs. No pulling anything out of my pocket.
I walked up to this new machine, it scanned my face, the gate opened, and I kept walking.
There was no line because the process moved so fast.
It felt like stepping a few years into the future, and it was awesome!

BREAKING: Anthropic's market-implied pre-IPO valuation surges to a record $1.4 trillion, rising another +40% in 24 days.
This puts Anthropic's implied valuation up +1,067% since October 2025, per onchain pre-IPO trading data.
Pre-IPO instruments trading onchain on Jupiter, backed 1:1 by SPV exposure, are providing a real-time proxy for the company’s implied IPO valuation.
The surge comes amid reports that Anthropic's annualized revenue has surged from $100 million in 2023 to $45 billion today.
Over the last 12 months alone, Anthropic's annualized revenue has risen +1,400%.
We are witnessing a historic technological revolution.

@WifiMoneyPlant The dealership and salesman makes more if they can sell you a loan.

Biggest "the kids are fucked" moment I've had recently was buying a car
Walked into the dealership, told them what I wanted and said I'd pay up-front. Expected them to be thrilled
Instead they were horrified. Spent the next 20 minutes trying to get me to finance it at some absurd rate
Got me curious so after I left I read about car sale profit models. Apparently most US dealerships make more financing now than from the cars themselves
I was such a boomer I assumed they'd want CASH
In reality they want your ETERNAL SLAVERY at 19% APR

This would be the greatest policy of all time. Govt officials would be going HAM trying to keep inflation to 0%.

JUST IN: Republicans are reportedly exploring indexing capital gains to inflation ahead of the midterms.

Singapore is a high trust society and doesnt have a homogenous culture.
Different races and ethnic groups packed into a small space yet you can walk around at 3am drunk with cash hanging out of your pocket and a $100k watch on your wrist and no one will do anything
Lou Scott Keyes@LS_Keyes
Japan was the first time I understood what a "High Trust Society" looked like. It comes down to a homogeneous culture and people bound by a cohesive social fabric. Which doesn't exist in America.

Donald Trump is making major changes that will ban colleges from the Federal Student Loan Program and all federal financial aid if the programs at that college don't pass the earnings test
“They are putting together a new earnings threshold test that says Bachelor degree program graduates have to earn more than the median high school graduate in your state 4 years after graduation.
And when it comes to grad school programs, they have to earn more than bachelor's degree graduates for that same type of field in that state within 4 years after their graduate school program.
If the school program fails this test for 2 years in a row, they will lose access to federal Fi, federal student loans. And if more than 50% of the school's programs fail this test, they lose access to all types of federal financial aid programs.”
Here’s what that really means
Colleges can no longer have programs that do not deliver positive financial outcomes for their graduates
The goal is to stop federal taxpayer subsidies via loans and grants for programs that leave graduates financially worse off or no better than if they had skipped college
This is common sense legislation and a huge win for everyone

@TheLaurenChen I'm an expert on this subject. I agree with Lauren.
