Burnout slide 4 I have so much to say on this What they perceive as support is not the support that you might need Even more so, when you are the type that just #copes #ICURN #burnout And why have a position if you won’t give them the #autonomy for said position?

11 March 2020 was the first day #Covid_19 was declared a #pandemic by the #WHO ALOT of lives changed forever #healthcareworkers especially #nurses were #traumatised by this And some are still working through the #PTSD

On my first 2 shifts back in #ICU I sat and helped 2 elderly have a good death 1 of each end of the ‘spectrum’ 1 with family all there and 1 with no one present except myself and a nurse #death is never easy but it is a great privilege to be present #ICURN #deathdoula

#nursepatientratios Core staffing remains important in an #ICU 1 #icurn CANNOT be left alone in a unit with 2 pts regardless of their acuities It means I can’t leave the unit to eat lunch or even wee there is no one to relieve me for these basic human needs #patientsafety
