I'm excited to start my new job as Lead Nurse for Immunisation and Vaccination in ABUHB with Helen Crosbie I have loved working in Health Visiting in ABUHB and enjoyed working with colleagues to improve HV services. Although I am sad to leave, I am excited for the next chapter.

@CheryllMa The NHS and the staff that work in it need investment. We need better social care, more beds, more doctors, nurses and health staff and to get more staff you need to pay them better wages. Our Health is the most impotent thing and the NHS is awesome why not invest 🤯

The other legacy of SureStart is the personal & professional transformation created in the staff, some of whom are now in middle and senior leadership roles. Those people carry the ethos & vision into their work to this day. That will never be evaluated but it’s massive.

Today’s Sure Start evaluation results will be widely interpreted as “sure start worked” but there were two important findings that add some nuance to that. First, as intended, it worked most for the most disadvantaged kids. 1/2
