Games I Beat in 2026 Game 1: Final Fantasy. Super charming and basic. Generic enemies mixed with future series staples. Good to see where it came from. Went in blind, made many mistakes. Chaos, especially in the Pixel Remaster, was one of the worst, hardest endgame bosses I've fought. However, it was one of the most satisfying. Overall: B+

I think the reality is that Bungie could have kept Destiny going and also invested in Marathon. Blizzard has shown you can do this. The issue is Blizzard struck at the beginning with something like Overwatch, and Bungie struck at the tail end of the cycle. Bungie has kind of shown us that once they left ABK’s deal, they didn’t know how to manage the studio anymore. The Sony sale was an act of desperation to keep their employees around, and if rumors were true, Sony has basically canceled almost all their live service plans. Bungie’s value dropped heavily with current leadership because they were brought in to help with this plan. It still sucks all these layoffs need to happen, I’ve been saying it for years but that doesn’t mean I’m happy about it. I hope a lot of the impacted people find quick work elsewhere or can move to other studios within these major companies.

@backlogcarl Yea, they did it to themselves. Like, I love Marathon, but I think they overestimated the populatiry of it - I am convinced big budget multiplayer shooter games, excluding COD are basically not gonna be successful

I was thinking last week, that I would be interested in getting an Xbox series X or the next Xbox if they keep exclusive games and still invest in physical games, but after yesterdays news I’m not sure anymore. Closing studios and laying off developers is not what I support

It's very surprising they worked with her because Anita was exposed long ago as saying on video in college that she never played video games and then made a snide remark about how gross and violent they are. She then worked with the media to craft her new image: Lifelong gamer girl who just happened to notice sexism in all the games she loved. She isn't an authority on anything and Schafer saying "blind spots we didn't even know were there" shows she is a glorified ghost hunter finding the hidden demons you can't see. Oh, you found Sturgis. This guy is an actual retard who basically only tells you the popular thing on Twitter. He hangs out with the JV anti-woke guys and just meat-rides waiting for head pats. He’s the worst type of person to give a point to, as he can’t make an intelligent one without looking for Twitter’s answer first. However, IMO here are the games that aren’t shit: All the Forza Horizon games I love them to death. They’re my favorite racing games and feel like Need for Speed Underground’s successor from my childhood. I loved Gears 5 and think it got way too much hate. After replaying 4 this year, I felt I was too harsh on it back in the day. They still aren’t perfect but I wouldn’t call them shit. State of Decay and Sea of Thieves are great, but due to life I can’t play with friends like I used to. Same with Grounded (I’m just the mule to fight and carry stuff). Halo Infinite felt way better and more fun than Halo 5 in every way, but I don’t play multiplayer anymore so no view on that. I enjoyed South of Midnight but it had issues. If they close it, it would be sad as the game should get a second chance to learn from its mistakes. World’s Edge, the Age of Empires and mythology studio, has done an absolutely fantastic job with these IPs. Constant content updates, amazing remasters, and adding new civilizations and game modes to older games is a 10/10 for me. Would Ninja Gaiden 4 count? It wasn’t made by Xbox but was published by them, and I loved that game last year. It was a great stress reliever. I loved Hellblade and Hellblade 2 they gave me a great experience. I’d be absolutely gutted if they close for good. Keeper was an amazing short experience. That ending was amazing everyone should check it out. I didn’t count other games from Bethesda and ABK as I feel like, while Xbox owned, they’re still getting included back into the fold.
