في الأسابيع الماضية، ووسط أعنف تصعيد على الحدود الجنوبية، حدث ما لم يكن متوقعاً في حسابات «محور المقاومة». القرى المسيحية في الجنوب بقيت صامدة. لم يهرب أهلها جماعياً، وأصروا على رفع أجراس الكنائس وإحياء طقوسهم رغم القصف، رافضين أوامر الإخلاء. أما القرى الشيعية المجاورة التي تتباهى بشعار «المقاومة» منذ عقود، فشهدنا نزوحاً جماعياً واسعاً منها عند أول إنذار. من هو المقاوم الحقيقي إذن؟ المقاومة الحقيقية ليست في حمل السلاح والاختباء في الأنفاق ثم الفرار. المقاومة هي البقاء على الأرض بالإيمان وحده. مسيحيو الجنوب لم يطلقوا رصاصة، بل قالوا ببساطة: «نحن هنا، وبأرضنا باقون». هذا أشجع من كل الشعارات الرنانة. «المقاومون» الآخرون كانوا أول الهاربين، ثم عادوا يتباكون على «الجنوب المحتل». الدولة والجيش اللبناني يستحقان اللوم الأشد: هذه ليست المرة الأولى. في 2006 وما قبلها، تركوا المسيحيين يواجهون مصيرهم وحدهم، بينما ميليشيا مسلحة تدير الحرب والنزوح. يذكرنا ذلك بما حدث قبل 2006 عندما سيطر الفلسطينيون على الجنوب وأقاموا «فتح لاند». انشق الرائد سعد حداد وشكل جيش جنوب لبنان، وكان معه شيعة لبنانيون حقيقيون من أبناء الجنوب يدافعون عن أرضهم، ليسوا إرهابيين أو مرتزقة كما هو الحال اليوم. هذا الصمود امتداد لتاريخ المسيحية: من اضطهاد روما بالإيمان والشهادة، إلى حماية الوجود في الشرق رغم الغزوات، وصولاً إلى لبنان. المسيحيون اختاروا دائماً البقاء لا الهروب. اليوم يفضح الجنوب الحقيقة بلا رحمة: هكذا كانت الحال، وهكذا تظل. المقاومة الحقيقية للسيادة هي للمسيحيين الذين صمدوا بالإيمان، والسياديين الحقيقيين هم من يدافعون عن الوجود. أما المرتزقة الإرهابيون فهم من يهربون مذعورين تاركين شعاراتهم الزائفة. إلى المسيحيين في كل أنحاء العالم: انظروا إلى إخوتكم في جنوب لبنان. إنهم يقدمون درساً قاسياً في الصمود. ندعوكم بشدة إلى دعم صمودهم سياسياً وإعلامياً ومادياً ومعنوياً. لا تتركوهم وحدهم. صمودهم معركة عالمية على البقاء المسيحي في الشرق. ساعدوهم قبل فوات الأوان.

אנו ניצבים שעות ספורות לפני חג הפסח. חג החירות. חג היציאה מעבדות לחירות. משעבוד לגאולה. הלילה נשאל סביב שולחן הסדר: ״מה נשתנה?״. בחשבון הנפש הלאומי שלנו חשוב שנדע להשיב היטב ובמדויק לשאלה זו. אין חירות בלי הנכונות להגן על החירות. רובנו זכינו להיוולד במדינה יהודית ריבונית וחופשית בארץ האבות אחרי אלפיים שנות גלות. אנחנו נולדנו לחירות ולמדינה אחרי דורות של גלות, רדיפות והשמדה. מזאב ז׳בוטינסקי למדנו וגם שיננו: ״האל שיצר ברזל - לא רצה בעבדים״. אבל אין חירות בלי נכונות להגן עליה. בלי הנכונות להלחם. ישראל נלחמת על קיומה משחר הקמתה. האמת היא שלא היה יום אחד שלא עמדנו על המשמר, יום אחד בו לא נלחמנו. מקום המדינה ועד היום. השיר ״אני מבטיח לך, ילדה שלי קטנה, שזאת תהיה המלחמה האחרונה״ הוא שיר יפה ואף מרגש. אבל - ״מיטב השיר - כזבו״. לא היה לזה שחר אז וגם היום למרבה הצער זה חסר שחר. קיום העם היהודי בארצו יכול להיות מובטח ויובטח רק על ידי הנכונות להלחם ובניין הכוח לשם כך. עמדנו בפני סכנת השמדה. אויבינו - ובראשם משטר ההאיתולות באיראן - רקמו תוכנית השמדה. לא רק בהצהרות פומביות ברורות שהעידו לאן פניהם. לא רק כשאיפה ערטילאית, אלא כתוכנית קונקרטית. תוכנית השמדה ״קונבנציונלית״ באמצעות היקפי ענק של טילים בליסטיים לצד כוחות יבשתיים של השלוחים על גבולות ישראל. פלישה רב חזיתית לצד ירי טילים בליסטיים בהיקפים דימיוניים. המודיעין שנתפס במלחמה בגזרות השונות אחרי 7 באוקטובר 2023 מבסס זאת מעבר לכל ספק. לצד זאת, התקדם המשטר האיראני המטורף, עקב בצד אגודל, בתוכנית הגרעין שלו במטרה להשיג נשק גרעיני שהיה מאפשר השמדה באמצעות נשק בלתי קונבנציונלי. ההחלטות ההסטוריות שקיבלנו בקבינט הביטחוני ביוני 2025 ובפברואר 2026 היו בפשטות החלטות להסרת איום ההשמדה שריחף מעל העם היהודי בארצו. לכל החלטה מסוג זה יש מחירים ובכל החלטה מעין זו גלומים סיכונים. אבל הסכנות שמנענו גדולות לאין שיעור. אני גאה על כך שהייתי שותף לקבלת החלטות אלה בקבינט המצומצם בהנהגת ראש הממשלה בנימין נתניהו, כמו גם על ההזדמנות שניתנה לי להגן על ישראל במערכה המדינית. היום ניתן לומר: הסרנו את איום ההשמדה. עדיין יש לנו אויבים מרים ואכזריים, אך הם הוכו שוק על ירך. איננו מבטיחים שזאת תהיה ״המלחמה האחרונה״. נצטרך גם בעתיד לעמוד על המשמר מול מזימות אויבינו. אבל אלמלא היינו מחליטים לפעול כנגד איומים קיומיים ואלמלא בצעו צה״ל ושאר כוחות הבטחון באופן מעורר השראה את ההחלטות שקיבלנו - היינו מותירים את ישראל במצב בלתי אפשרי. כן, הם עדיין יכולים לירות עלינו. לא, הם אינם יכולים להעמיד אותנו בסכנת קיום. על הישג זה אנו מחוייבים לשמור. המציאות היא דינמית ולא סטטית. נעשה זאת באמצעות חיזוק עוצמתה של ישראל: הצבאית, המדינית, הכלכלית והטכנולוגית. נעשה זאת באמצעות הנכונות להלחם. אלה תמיד יהיו שני התנאים ההכרחיים: הכוח וכוח הרצון. משמעות ההחלטות שקיבלנו היא אחת: ישראל לא תסכים לחיות תחת איום השמדה. לא בהווה ולא בעתיד. נחישותנו להגן על חירותנו ועל מדינת ישראל היא מוחלטת. ב״ה נעשה ונצליח, כי ״נצח ישראל לא ישקר״. חג חירות שמח! פסח כשר ושמח לכל בית ישראל!

Jews don’t celebrate death - we sanctify life. Whatever your view on the death penalty, breaking open champagne to celebrate a law that takes life is fundamentally anti-Jewish. Many already understand this. Others will, in time. One day we will look back at Ben Gvir’s tenure and feel ashamed that we allowed something so corrosive into the sanctuary of power in Israel.

Too much crime, folks not showing up to work, businesses squeezed with illegal ‘taxes’ and aggressive land claims that look a lot like extortion. Those xenophobic attacks on migrants? It’s not really about traditional titles or rulership it’s just an excuse to steal and loot everything in sight. I challenge anyone to point out anything genuinely positive about the country since independence. The recent killings of Nigerians, Tanzanians, Somalis, Indians, and Congolese by South Africans are a stark example of this xenophobia culture in a nation that seems stuck in a rut.
