How long do we want to keep arresting these guys only ro release them again? They need to be engaged. These are able bodied men who can contribute meaningfully to society. The problem is that they wouldn't do this on their own so we need to design it in the form of punishment with a clear goal. Instead of just putting them in prison, let’s have a live-in farm arrangement they can be sent to through proper legal channels. They can be trained in various aspects of agriculture from poultry to egg production, meat production, fish processing, and crop production. It becomes a major supply point for the market. So these guys work there, earn, and learn. It will be structured and supervised and not indefinite. They can opt to leave after their legally assigned period provided they have mastered these skills or even choose to stay to continue working and earning for an extensive period of time when they can be capable of running a successful agricultural value chain business. It’s a better way of living than being a nuisance everywhere and smoking Igbo. I know this will be hard because these guys are giran but this can reduce their numbers on the road.

With the mindset of many Gen Z men, I hope some of you will not divorce your future wives if they lose their jobs. I have said it many times: before you get married, have the 'I can do it alone' mindset. Do not decide to marry a woman mainly because she earns her own money. Remove your eyes from her money and plan your future with her with your own money. A woman's money is not sweet to taste. A woman doesn't have to work to make money, before she qualifies to be a wife and mother. If you're not ready to start thinking this way, please avoid marriage. The fact that women get up to 4 months maternity leave (in some countries, more), should tell you that a woman's place of recognition and strength is mostly from being a mother, a home maker, a nurturer and a wife. See her money as a bonus, or rather, an additional privilege to you. Not your right. Not your entitlement. Not your inheritance. Not your dependable source, but your reliable source. A wife that is playing her roles effectively and efficiently, is not a liability. I don't care what any of you wokist or "in saner" climes pundits want to say about this. This is Africa. If you don't provide for your wife and children as you should as a husband and father. Your wife is more likely to cheat on you, unlike a wife that is being provided for. With their help can I achieve it faster/better/easier than I can on my own? 4. Is that result worth the ask? Aka if I got the result would it be worth the time and the investment? And as a bonus 5. What do I really lose if I do this? 6. What do I lose if I DON’T do this? Answer those questions and you’ll not need to talk to anyone.
