@billybinion Almost like they wanted this to happen. Totally agree with the one way ticket into the sun. Give Big Brother a seat on that projectile as well.

ABC vets people extremely closely. There's *no way* the network didn't know Frankie Paul had an aggravated assault conviction when execs cast her. If a man had a similar record, does anyone actually think he would've been cast as the lead on The Bachelor? Give me a break.

@billybinion One of the nice things about San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is that security screening services are provided by a private contractor rather than federal employees.

@espressofloat TSA agents generally do not have the power to arrest and already rely on law enforcement for this

@billybinion you do realize that a private service would (a) still need to be funded, (b) need to be more than 1 company which would make communication far worse, and (c) not have the capacity to arrest and detain if needed, creating a larger need for law enforcement at airports

@billybinion The problem (and reason it will never go away) is that it’s a jobs program

@billybinion There was a time when I’d have called you a lunatic for this take. Now I agree wholeheartedly. I don’t know enough synonyms for “awful” to adequately express how much they suck.

@WWouldJakeDo I don't know of any evidence that she specifically ruined anyone's life, and even if she had, that wouldn't matter. If you don't apply a principle when it's inconvenient, then it doesn't mean anything.

@billybinion I agree its gross, but they have ruined the lives of people that age for saying stupid things before. And she is a public figure.

@michelletandler Holding adults accountable for things they said as kids is wild, regardless of how much you hate their politics. Not a good look. I'll stick to criticizing her for beliefs she holds as a grown woman, and I recommend you do the same.

It's pretty rare that I find a tweet so offensive that I don't even want to repost it. But, here we are. This is Zohran Mamdani's wife, writing about Gay people. The mask is off.

My first exposure to this was during the Obama era. I couldn't understand why anyone would want to wear a shirt with a politician's face on it. If part of your identity is rooted in loving a government employee, then something is missing.

I feel like I see this all the time now. Your preferred politicians shouldn't be part of your personality. They're your employees. They are not your friends, and they shouldn't be your idols. Worshiping them just looks weak.

@angry_blue_dot Obama was my first exposure to it. I still vividly remember walking into an Urban Outfitters in high school and not understanding why anyone would want a shirt with a politician's face on it. Unsubscribe

@billybinion I remember being disgusted when someone I knew was saying “Obama for King” in 2009. Why Republicans suddenly think that type of thinking is not just acceptable but a requirement is beyond me. Politicians are our employees, that’s how to think of it, no more.
