Both of the previous actors who played Dumbledore, Richard Harris and Michael Gambon, were Irish.
I know there are more significant casting changes that people are focused on, but Dumbledore won’t be the same to me without a soft Irish accent. Even when I reread the books now I hear Dumbledore with an Irish lilt.
