That point is irrelevant If you choose to let the government educate your children then you pay your taxes to that. And if you choose to educate a different way you shouldn't We do this with many other things. This is not difficult. But since 'public' school or better government school, is such an idol for many people get angry when the mythos of it is challenged. I mean come one Gov school sucks in America. Most people cannot read or write beyond a 6th grade level. It's unreal anyone defends it.

Oklahoma passed a $250M private school tax credit (voucher) in 2023. We now know more than 90% of recipients were already in private school & just 361 of nearly 40,000 students came from low-income households. HB3705 would expand it to $275M/year. (Vote count at the end.)

@RichardTHenry @wonderbreadpapi @MickeyDollens It’s legally required for children in the US to go to school - hence public education. If you decide to go private, your choice, but there is a cost to that, and taxes should not cover private education at the expense of public education.
