Today I had a very constructive meeting with former President Jacob Zuma in Durban. We discussed issues such as the value of mother tongue education, the promotion of mutual recognition and respect between cultural communities, agricultural development in traditional communities, and Section 235 of the South African Constitution. More meetings will follow. As a civil society organisation @afriforum remains outside of party politics. We are working for the next generation rather than the next election. In securing a better future for the next generation, we are committed to engaging with all stakeholders in South Africa, even though we may differ on certain issues. We are committed to helping find solutions to the challenges the country and all its people face.

Bringing a child into life is waaayyy too selfish for any situation where a child owes the parent sorry. There’s not a single reason on bringing forth a life that benefits the child. If the child wants to, great! If they don’t, that’s okay too.

The marginalised majority of people do not all have the same views. Views in township communities differ on economics, migration, land rights and even foreign policy. We can agree with one view & disagree with another and still be on the side of the oppressed majority.
