We're are urgently looking for volunteers! 📣 We are looking for everyday people who reside in the East Rand. We need extra hands to assist with our community cleanup actions, campaigning against environmental injustices, and outreach and climate education - join us today!

Take this time to invite your friends and family to also participate in this challenge (and brag about your results) and remember to keep these good habits in the weeks, months, and days to come. This is a continuous process, and we need everyday habits to make a real difference.

You definitely need some vegetables, so today, it is the perfect time to boil some! Collect this water, and once it has cooled you can use it to water plants. You can also use this water, now called veggie broth, and freeze it for the winter time for a lovely soup.

When you use a towel once and throw it in the wash right after, you are wasting water and causing unnecessary laundry. Today, you can challenge yourself to reuse a towel for a few days, and then switch to a clean one.

You need to do some laundry one of these days, so when that day comes, make sure that the washing machine is completely full before you use it, and use the most efficient water and energy settings. Fill it up, and don’t just use it for a few pieces of clothing at a time.

If you need to rinse utensils or vegetables, fill the sink a bit with cold water, and don't leave the tap running. When you’re done with this water, throw it over your garden if you have one. Plants love it! Further this challenge by only using cold water for the day.
