March dump: What you worked on as a creative.

The most terrifying realization a man has as he gets older is that his grace is entirely conditional. If a woman has a career setback, makes a bad financial move, or needs a year to "find herself," she is met with sisterhood, therapy, and endless emotional support. If a man asks for that exact same grace? He is an immediate liability. He is told to step up. His partner's friends will literally advise her to leave him because he's "holding her back." A man is only allowed to fail if he can quietly fix it before anyone notices. The moment his struggle becomes an inconvenience to the people he provides for, the respect vanishes. A lot of men are walking around with the crushing realization that they were never actually loved for who they are; they were just employed for what they provide

Brand Design Visuals for Awesome Design Studio. I called it “Awesome by Design”, Designed intentionally to look and feel like an obsessive creator whom is a bit rebellious a Vandal- Poet,who despise the sea of sameness created by what design is at the present day. This identity is designed to convey what design means to us. Bold, Creative, Unapologetic 🔥❤️💐 Design and Strategy all done by me.

I’ve received a lot of “I love the colours,” and that’s been incredibly affirming because they’re doing exactly what I intended them to do. The primary crimson red is intentionally named “The Stop.” 🛑 It’s designed to command attention, the kind of red that makes you pause, absorb, and truly see the message. It’s supported by a deep mahogany tone that introduces richness and contrast, while the complementary colours are carefully selected to reinforce the brand’s purpose without overpowering it. The colour system isn’t screaming for attention but Instead, it acts like a breath of fresh air in a stale room saturated with soul-less predictable cold blues. It stands confidently, distinctive, but not desperate. All illustrations and iconography were thoughtfully crafted by me to ensure cohesion across every touchpoint of the identity system. As creatives, we all know how difficult it is to brand ourselves. For me, it’s one of the hardest tasks I’ve faced as a brand designer. This has always been one of my fears, it is to design for design itself. I’ve never fully explored it because I often doubt the outcome. Fast-forward to late last year when I got on a discovery call with the founder of Awesome Studio, I realized she trusted my decisions more than I trusted myself. That gave me the confidence to face what I’ve always avoided — designing for design. I worked on the strategy from mid-November to mid-December last year, and early this year, I designed the full identity and guidelines. I’ll be sharing how I overcame this design myth soon. WIP 🚧
