Fantastic performance by our Year 4 Girls Football Team yesterday. We are really proud of them all!

Delighted to hand over a cheque for £805 during this morning’s assembly to Sarah Clayton from ⁦⁦@ArthurRankHouse⁩, following a wonderful fundraising effort by our Y6 pupils as part of their Community Outreach Project.

The CPS community has been celebrating ⁦@WorldBookDayUK⁩. In addition to dressing up as characters from our favourite books, we have marked the day with a number of activities, including the @readingzone live event with Michael Rosen. If you read, you fly!

Delighted to welcome Cottenham Theatre Workshop Youth to this morning’s assembly; where they entertained us with a couple of numbers from their forthcoming production of Matilda. Also great to see so many former pupils!

Resplendent in Maths Hats, we have spent the House Day celebrating the joy of numbers!

Great @childrensBKshow event at the New Theatre Peterborough yesterday, where the superb ⁦⁦@frankcottrell_b⁩ talked about his new book and his approach to writing. Being the decent man he is, he took the time to talk to our children afterwards, who were all thrilled.

So proud of the whole school community for the respect shown towards the period of Remembrance; topped off by the perfectly observed silence by all 500 children when our peripatetic music teacher played The Last Post.

For the final House Assembly of the year, the Administrators and Captains from all four teams were on stage. A huge well done and thank you for all they’ve done across the year to ensure that the CPS House programme remains such an important part of our school community.

10 years ago this week, CPS marked ⁦⁦@letour starting a stage in Cambridge, by giving every child the opportunity to ride their bike around the streets of Cottenham on closed roads. It remains a truly memorable occasion for the CPS community.

To support their current History unit on the Anglo-Saxons, our Year 3 children are visiting ⁦@WestStowNews⁩ today.

Great afternoon at the ⁦@SouthCambsSSP⁩ Quadkids event at Wilberforce Road this afternoon (where our Y5 team did us proud). Well done to all the young athletes involved, and to the brilliant Sports Leaders for their support.

The Year 6 residential at ⁦@HilltopNorfolk⁩ is already in full swing!

Delighted to host a visit today from a delegation from the Northeastern Normal University in Changchun, China. The delegates wanted to learn more about how we structure the curriculum at CPS & asked lots of really insightful questions (including to 2 of our wonderful Y6 pupils).
