@ShaudL_ I think one of the problems people have is that they view forms as tiers instead of just multipliers. I hear all the time someone saying something like “x or y is ssj3 level” like ssj3 is at a specific tier of strength and no one in base form could beat a ssj3.

Like if someone pleads the fifth, the judge can’t convict you because they feel like they’re guilty. Some judges would probably still convict the phone guy though

@JordanLDurham While it does make sense, I still find weird that they say "the saiyan becomes stronger than the great ape". How can you become stronger than a form that gives you a multiplier? (IIRC, the great ape increases their powers 10 times)

This is another piece of evidence for the connection between Ssj and The Great Ape, According to Toriyama a Saiyan stops growing their tail once they are strong enough they don’t need it or Great Ape, and once they are that strong they are ready to become an Ssj.
Meaning Ssj replaced Great Ape as a Survival Mechanism, Which explains why Ssj4 in Daima has great ape like traits.
It circles around to using the Traits of a Great Ape again as a survival mechanism due to Ssj3 essentially being the peak of focusing on using Ki to survive, rather than focusing primarily on physical traits that give you an advantage in battle, which is what the great ape form originally did.
It’s the best of both worlds.

If you like the Dub GREAT! Just be aware it’s not completely accurate to the story that the writers are building off of to this day and can cause some confusion that’s all. I don’t think anyone should be judged for simply liking it, but again it’s when fans start trying to discuss the series due to how vastly different it is dubbed that it becomes a problem.
