Hey - Corpus Christi might run out of water in 60 days, but at least we took the time (a lot of time) and passed resolutions in the Texas legislature recognizing: Ramandan, a Hindu holiday (Holi), Eid-al-Fitr (for Muslims), Commended the Emgage Texas EmergingnLeaders program (tied to the Muslim community), recognized the Zoroastrian Faith, Recognized Vesak (the Buddhist holiday commemorating the birth of buddha), and Commened BAPs (a Hindu organization) for its contributions - because that’s the most important thing we can do….

Music is not universal. 50% of it is musical composition, and the other 50% is lyrics. If you don't speak any English, Nas isn't the greatest lyricist of all time. All you'll hear is jibberish over interesting beats. You're not experiencing the whole song. Just like when you listen to the greatest Chinese lyricist of all time. The same went when I watched Bad Bunny's Half Time show. It looked great, the beats were interesting, but I didn't know a single song or understand anything he was saying. And he's a lyricist, not someone who mostly focuses on melodies - so he clearly had something important to say. I looked around, and all the non-Spanish-speaking people in the party were experiencing the same thing. And if you're being honest with yourself instead of being fake-progressive, you agree with me.

@freeexpl @fabularasa02 @ser_crispincool That's an interesting viewpoint. I remember seeing "liberal hunting permits" being sold at the local sporting goods stores when I was a kid, so the idea that right wing trolling has recently shifted to violence just doesn't ring true to me.
