Someone contacted us asking to trace where his funds went after an unauthorized address took control of them. He'd reached out to the support team of the platform the funds were stolen from, but they couldn't help — the funds hit bridges on the very first transactions. On June 25th, #Polymarket was hit by a phishing attack, causing ~$3M in losses across multiple users. We saw a lot of people tracing the funds through bridges from #Polygon to #Ethereum, and from $USDC to $ETH, mostly successfully. Two wallets have been reported holding almost 1900 $ETH. These are the addresses holding the most assets: 0x975268a2a71e4A7e282B962Ec0b1Ee01d3778aC0: 1,788.5 $ETH 0xea0A80070C38F63C10d7FED95286e83EB415441f: 100 $ETH We decided to test our HYDRA tracing engine against this exploit. We stepped back to the consolidation address at 0xe65b1C586757c5510B60F998Eebb14C1eF71E1eD and followed a different branch — a small amount it sent to another address instead of the big amounts: 0x5a6b2f8Fab6Cf480C93D152EF96d1e0c830Fe587, for 1 $ETH etherscan.io/tx/0xc807fc375… This wallet is part of a transaction flow through addresses that touched several entities — Binance, Kraken, Crypto[.]com, Coinbase, and Bybit. All deposits were small amounts, but CEX deposits nonetheless. Some instant exchanges were also touched: ChangeHero, ChangeNOW, Aeroswap, and FixedFloat. Anyone else take this branch and follow the funds in this direction? Open to share his findings?
