The Indus Waters Treaty, long regarded as a rare and enduring symbol of cooperation between India and Pakistan, is now being fundamentally reinterpreted through the lens of national security.

@SophiaSaifi Have all the diplomatic moments you want, couldnt care less. Your economy is dropping like a bomb, and you cannot stop it. Your only contact with India is terrorism, and the price you pay is now very very high

“Pakistan is having a diplomatic moment, and India’s political elites are not enjoying it.”

Today marks one year since the Pahalgam false flag operation. Terrorism is an internal issue of India, which it portrays as an external problem. India has a history of staging false flag operations. India promotes terrorism, while Pakistan is its victim. The world is asking India for answers regarding the Pahalgam attack, but India has no response.

Today marks one year since the Pahalgam attack, an inside job by Modi to reaffirm India's regional dominance and isolate Pakistan by reinforcing its terror hub narrative. After a year, we can judge Modi's abysmal failure and Pakistan's success.
In the immediate aftermath of attack, India rushed to blame Pakistan but could not apprehend the assailants or produce credible evidence. Even after a year, it is still doing a sham job of producing fake Pakistani ID cards.
The world recognized a pattern after Pulwama of how India plays with world peace to cement its image as a state confronting terrorism. Major media houses rejected three decades of Indian propaganda.
The Guardian called the perpetrators "suspected militants." CNN said "gunmen storm a scenic mountain spot." The WaPo described a "rampage by gunmen." The NYT quoted locals fearing "India's wrath," revealing the true nature of Indian occupation in Kashmir.
The impact of this failure appeared in India's recent framing of attacks. After the Lal Qila blasts in Delhi, India claimed a LeT plot but did not dare to falsely implicate Pakistan.
The impact was not confined to failure vis-à-vis wrong framing of Pakistan; India severely tarnished its image as a great power after subsequent military defeat at the hands of Pakistan.
India long tried to sell itself as a great power, to the West as a counterweight to China and to the Global South as a moral leader. The treatment of India after Op Sindoor by the US (through tariffs and refusal to attend the QUAD meeting in India), Europe, and the rest of the world shows how horribly its gamble of killing own people to malign Pakistan failed.
