Loi 2. Troubling times for all healthcare in Quebec, but with only the Ottawa river separating Gatineau and Ottawa it feels like we are the canary in the coal mine. Our MDs are leaving to seek greener career pastures elsewhere and heads of departments are resigning like wildfire.

Very sad to report that my PhD advisor, Adolfo de Bold of the Ottawa @HeartInstitute passed away yesterday. He taught me how to be a scientist. He discovered Atrial Natriuretic Factor, which established that the heart is an endocrine gland that helps regulate blood pressure
