As we reported last night, some journalists/news orgs are stepping up coverage of DC in the wake of WaPo's cuts. In addition to @CityCast_DC's growth, the Baltimore Banner is expanding coverage of PG County. Some other small projects from Post vets are also in the works

Sad to say I was also laid off by The Post today. Lucky to have spent 10 years covering HS sports for my hometown paper, writing about hundreds of my neighbors. Thanks to anybody who made time to talk, sent in stats or complained about All-Met selections. Truly, I loved it all.
