And this why, as a Jew, I feel wildly unsafe amongst gentile leftists. If you can look at a swastika painted on a synagogue and think "well, who knows what they meant by that, we must consider context" then you do not care about Jews. That's it, full stop. You do not care.

@danirat Just to be clear again, absolutely not at the cost of another nation. And I know Jewish safety is not a priority for most everyone, but as a Jew, I'm sorry but it has to be for me. I have to think about the future of my people, I have to care about our lives.

@danirat It doesn't need to be an enthnostate, I support a two-state solution, but regardless the reality it is that it is the only country in the world with a Jewish majority. And considering world history and uh, the current antisemetic climate, I can't disavow its existence.

@danirat It is enough to say that the government's is committing genocide. The comparisons to the Holocaust are only made because of the pain these comparisons will cause Jews. We do not need to say "this is the same as the Holocaust" to condemn this genocide. It's not needed.

@danirat I have seen the original picture and my statement stands. Jews do not deserve to be the targets of Nazi, regardless of their support for Israel. A sign offering support of Israel does not mean the synagogue is deserving of a hate crime.

@MJaMitchell @flynnslick I'm still getting around to watching this film, but realizing the 24/hr Dance Marathon episode of Gilmore Girls was a reference to this film was like getting slapped.

@danirat I just read the wikipedia summary and yeah that's... That's a bummer. That's... I think watching that totally unprepared would have ruined my entire year.

@ShaneM_Anderson The people with the money are always looking for ways to cut costs, even at the expense of quality. They didn't understand the value of writers before and AI is only making it more difficult.

@ShaneM_Anderson I am a content manager and generative AI is already making my job difficult. Clients don't want to pay for content, they'd rather just get ChatGPT to do it. My managers are constantly having conversations about how we can replace writers with AI.
