What opportunities exist for students and postdocs we train in the industry and start-up ecosystem? How can we catalyze academia industry connections in space sciences with a focus on Heliophysics? It was a pleasure to convene an online panel discussion focussing on these career development and capacity building aspects on Friday evening at the Team INDUS ISHA symposium. Thanks to Judith de Patoul-Royal Observatory of Belgium, Joe Zender-European Space Agency, Amal Chandran-LASP-UC Boulder & Co-Founder HEX20 and Kartik Kumar-CEO Satsearch for accepting our invite and contributing to very useful discussions. I am excited to share that my second PhD-paper has been published. Link: doi.org/10.1051/0004-6… Here, we studied how the inertial oscillations observed on the solar surface are coupled to the Sun's deep interior, the radiative zone.

Introducing newly minted Dr. Chitradeep Saha of @cessi_iiserkol - who successfully defended his PhD thesis yesterday. Chitradeep's work focussed on the origin of long term solar variations, including grand minimum episodes, the interplay of stochasticity and non-linearity in supra -decadal solar activity modulation and the enigmatic polar kilo-Gauss flux patches. Congratulations @deephysics1729 All the best for your future.
