Kudos to @HeAngus on announcement that she will retire and leave MOH this summer. Whether developing ON Renal Network, serving as ally for MOHLTC in Treasury Board or providing a steady hand during pandemic, Helen has been a stalwart supporter of Ontario healthcare. TY Helen!!

4 weeks ago today, we launched MyCOVIDStory.ca. Yesterday, we hit 100K pageviews. Thank you to our team, everyone who has spread the word, and especially to those who have shared their story. Our work continues, because we don't want to tell the stories of a 4th wave.

Less than a month ago we confirmed AGE to be the greatest risk factor for severe infection + death from #COVID-19. The UK, USA and Israel + the rest of Canada are racing to vaccinate older people first So why isn't Ontario when 96% of its deaths have occurred amongst it 60+?
Isaac Bogoch@BogochIsaac

There are many medical comorbidities that are risk factors for severe infection & death related to #COVID19. But look at how age stands out above the others. h/t @roby_bhatt Link: go.nature.com/2MZhWwT

Retweet this. Let’s start a movement. Let’s create so much noise that the ministers and people in charge of each provincial and federal jurisdiction can’t ignore us. #CareForSeniors

I’m too tired to think and too tired to exercise. So I’m heading to get a coffee and a bakery treat, because that’s where my self care is at right now. Sharing because I know I’m not the only one.

@tanyawildes I salut your decision and the work you have been doing to live in alignment with your values. There is no higher calling. All will be well and you have created the space for the new to flow in. Sending support.

Grateful my parents, in their 90’s continue to be well. Concerned about shortage of caregivers as both just graduated from nursing and are resigning next week. Worried I might need to move in🥺

"THIS IS NOT A REQUEST, ITS A PLEA" The @RNAO's @DorisGrinspun and I have been urging all regions to follow BC and Alberta's lead in now mandating that health care workers not be allowed to work at more than one home to prevent the spread of COVID-19. nationalpost.com/pmn/news-pmn/c…
