@UTDKobi It’s not that, Messi does so much more than just stand in the box waiting for it to fall to his feet. When every opposing team knows their game plan is to get the ball to Cristiano in the box, it becomes so much harder to execute

Argentina’s players will go to war for Messi. They’ll do everything possible to get him on the scoresheet, sacrificing themselves for the team and for him — and he rarely disappoints. Portugal are full of superstars and quality, yet they still struggle to create one clear chance for Ronaldo, let alone sacrifice everything to get him involved.

@dmill187 @Zonal_Marking yeah i think he makes sense here for england. i would have brought someone a little more creative and dynamic like foden or palmer to help unlock deeper defenses or tough opposition. they don’t have anyone with that vision or technique in the team so curious to see how it goes.

@Zonal_Marking i don’t think he’s really a 10 at all. he’s not good at anything a 10 does. he’s a 8. he’s a slightly more athletic lampard with an inflated ego. but for managers like tuchel a 10 would be useless anyway. he wants dogs who work, run and execute his system.

I find comparing Neymar Jr to Lionel Messi more honorable and respectful to Messi than comparing him to Cristiano Ronaldo. In terms of talent and ability, Neymar is the only footballer remotely comparable to Messi because, like Messi, he’s a genius with the ball.
