Wall Street has been asking: what is the Chinese version of CRCL? They’re looking to invest in a CRCL-like company that is more efficient, has a lower valuation, and generates higher profits.
Now the answer is here: TRON.
Its issuance is on a similar scale to CRCL. Over the past year, TRON generated $3.3 billion in profit, while CRCL has been operating at a loss. TRON’s current market cap is around $500 million, compared to CRCL’s $35 billion—meaning TRON is valued at roughly 1/70 of CRCL.
Just to clarify, TRON is not a Chinese company; it remains a U.S. company.

The SEC case officially ended yesterday. The judge approved and signed the Final Judgment. Justin Sun, the Tron Foundation, and the BitTorrent Foundation are fully dismissed on all claims with prejudice. Chapter closed.

• Open vs closed source
• Business incentives (ads vs donations)
1. Signal (9/10) – E2E by default, open source, minimal metadata, no ads.
2. iMessage (6.5/10) – Strong E2E, good device security, but Apple controls infra + metadata.
3. WhatsApp (5/10) – E2E for content, but metadata-heavy, closed source and connected to Meta.
4. Telegram (3/10) – E2E not default, cloud-readable chats, closed server.
5. Messenger (2/10) – Ad-driven, metadata-rich, weak default encryption.
